Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports plant operations by performing preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, equipment rebuilds, and facility maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
This position is ideal for experienced industrial maintenance technicians, electricians, millwrights, or military technical professionals who enjoy solving complex equipment problems and working independently in a manufacturing environment.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Solid mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment rebuilds.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics.
- Mechanical drawings.
- Technical documentation.
- Experience maintaining boilers or similar industrial equipment.
- Basic plumbing and HVAC maintenance knowledge.
- Forklift experience or ability to become certified.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment issues independently.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Requirements:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and rebuild industrial textile processing equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and document completed work.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
- Diagnose electrical control issues and minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor and maintain boilers and associated equipment.
- Perform equipment startup and shutdown procedures.
- Assist with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment modifications.
- Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Assist outside contractors during installations and major repairs.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including plumbing and HVAC support.
- Operate forklifts to move equipment and materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
- Support additional maintenance projects as assigned.
- Lift up to 80 pounds and work around industrial machinery while using appropriate PPE.
