Field Service Technician

During your first year, you will be based at the Bloomfield facility with no travel required. This provides an opportunity to develop extensive hands-on experience with the company's equipment, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and machine upgrades.

After the first year, the position will transition into a traditional Field Service Technician role requiring approximately 70% travel throughout the U.S. and Canada, with occasional international travel to Europe.

This is a highly hands-on electro-mechanical position combining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls troubleshooting. It is an excellent opportunity for candidates with military maintenance, industrial maintenance, packaging equipment, automation, or electro-mechanical backgrounds who want to develop into a traveling field service professional.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and equipment repairs.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related equipment failures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Install machine wiring, conduit, electrical components, and associated equipment.
• Perform equipment upgrades, modifications, and machine changeovers.
• Support machine startups and commissioning activities.
• Train customer maintenance and production personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Complete service reports, technical documentation, and expense reports.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide strong technical support.
• Support in-house equipment assembly and technical activities as required.
• Remain based in Bloomfield with no travel during the first year.
• After the first year, travel approximately 70% throughout the U.S. and Canada, with occasional international travel.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or equivalent military or industry experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting industrial or automated equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment failures.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to transition to approximately 70% travel after completing the first year in Bloomfield.
