Description
Seeking a Corporate Supply Planner to support supply planning activities across its North American manufacturing network. This role serves as the primary link between Corporate Supply Chain and multiple manufacturing plants, helping ensure production capacity, inventory levels, and customer demand remain aligned.
This is a highly collaborative, plant-facing position that partners directly with Operations, Production, Procurement, Customer Service, and Plant Leadership to develop and execute supply plans that support efficient manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate is an early-career supply chain professional with 2-5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment who is looking to continue growing within Supply Chain and Operations. The company is looking for someone who is naturally curious, works independently, takes initiative, asks thoughtful questions, and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
While SAP experience is preferred, the hiring team is primarily looking for candidates who demonstrate strong ERP experience and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain supply plans across multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Partner directly with plant leadership to balance production capacity, inventory, and customer demand.
- Analyze supply and production constraints while recommending solutions to improve operational performance.
- Support inventory optimization while maintaining customer service levels.
- Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, Sales, and Manufacturing teams to support production planning activities.
- Monitor manufacturing capacity and identify risks that may impact production schedules.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage supply planning activities and improve planning accuracy.
- Build reports and analyze KPIs to support supply chain performance and decision making.
- Assist with standardizing planning processes across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, inventory management, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with plant personnel while serving as a trusted supply chain partner for manufacturing operations.
- Support cross-functional projects that improve supply chain visibility, inventory accuracy, and production performance.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
- Approximately 2-5 years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Materials Planning, Inventory Planning, or a related supply chain role.
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience using ERP systems for planning, scheduling, inventory, or production management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with manufacturing operations and plant leadership.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated initiative and curiosity with a willingness to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and continuously improve processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
