Description

The Electrical Lead Installer, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains commercial and industrial electrical systems throughout the Southeast. This role includes installing electrical distribution systems, conduit, panels, wiring, lighting, and control systems while ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
This position is ideal for electricians who enjoy working in the field, traveling to customer sites, solving electrical problems, and performing a variety of commercial and industrial electrical installations.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of electrical experience.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Ability to provide your own basic electrical hand tools.
  • Ability to pass:
    • Basic Skills Test.
    • Multi-Craft Aptitude Test.
    • Color Identification Test.
    • Drug Screen.
  • Valid driver's license with no DUI history.
  • Experience with:
    • Running electrical circuits.
    • Electrical panels.
    • Small data center installations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Install conduit, electrical panels, transformers, switchboards, outlets, load centers, and related electrical equipment.
  • Pull wire, terminate electrical connections, and complete commercial electrical installations.
  • Install underground conduit, PVC, rigid steel conduit, and electrical supports.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems using voltmeters, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical equipment while maintaining compliance with NEC and local electrical codes.
  • Construct electrical control panels and associated equipment.
  • Dig trenches and install underground electrical utilities as required.
  • Transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and material inventory.
  • Travel extensively throughout the Carolinas with occasional overnight stays.
  • Work safely in both indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.

Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Commercial or industrial electrical experience.
  • Experience with data center electrical installations.
  • Experience installing underground utilities.
  • Experience operating construction equipment around excavation projects.
  • Experience reading construction drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience constructing electrical control panels.
