Description

Seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join our Quality team. This role is responsible for performing laboratory testing on graphite and carbon-based materials to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment, and takes pride in producing accurate and reliable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Conduct chemical and physical analysis including particle size, moisture, density, sulfur content, ash content, surface area, pH, and carbon content.
  • Set up, calibrate, verify, troubleshoot, and operate laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
  • Collect production samples from manufacturing areas and prepare samples for testing.
  • Record and maintain accurate laboratory data and reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Review production results and verify products meet established quality specifications.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, quality, laboratory, or industrial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document data.
  • Ability to follow testing procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Comfortable working around industrial equipment, dust, and production environments.
  • Ability to wear required PPE including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, and dust masks.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Previous Quality Control Laboratory experience.
  • Associate degree or post-secondary education in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience operating laboratory testing equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Experience in powders, minerals, graphite, carbon products, chemicals, metals, or industrial materials manufacturing. st practices.
  • Experience using particle size analyzers, sulfur analyzers, density analyzers, moisture analyzers, or similar testing equipment.
