The Technician III EHS supports the EHS Manager in implementing and improving environmental, health, and safety programs across a complex aerospace manufacturing facility. This lead-level role manages day-to-day EHS operations, regulatory compliance, incident response, employee training, and practical risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage hazardous metal and chemical waste programs, including labeling, storage, accumulation areas, inspections, manifests, vendor coordination, and environmental monitoring.
• Support electrical safety for 480V systems and a 4000A building service, including lockout tagout verification, energized work permits, and inspections of high-voltage equipment zones.
• Oversee safety requirements and certification tracking for cranes, hoists, aerial lifts, powered industrial vehicles, and related production equipment.
• Support OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and aerospace compliance; prepare permit applications, regulatory inventories, CERS and EDV submissions, and required biannual reports.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, spill response, evacuation drills, and high-voltage emergency procedures.
• Respond to workplace medical incidents within training; maintain AEDs, first aid supplies, injury documentation, and post-incident coordination.
• Maintain permits, SDS files, inspection logs, and EHS records; conduct or coordinate employee and contractor training.
• Serve as the daily EHS point of contact and work with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to identify hazards and improve controls.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, & Education:

• Four to seven or more years of EHS or related technical experience, preferably in aerospace, industrial manufacturing, or chemical-handling environments.
• High school diploma or GED. Relevant college education, technical training, certifications, and equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strong knowledge of RCRA hazardous waste requirements, chemical safety, and environmental compliance standards.
• Working knowledge of high-voltage electrical safety; experience with cranes, hoists, aerial lifts, and powered industrial vehicles.
• Ability to interpret regulations, codes, standards, and technical documents; strong communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a company-sponsored DoD security clearance.

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in EHS, occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, or a related field; OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER 40-Hour, NFPA 70E, or comparable EHS and technical certifications.
