Journeyman Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and automated production equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role supports plant operations by maintaining electrical systems, PLCs, robotics, automation equipment, and vision systems to ensure reliable equipment performance and uptime.

The Electrician will work with multiple voltage systems and advanced automation technologies while supporting ongoing maintenance and process improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• Wisconsin Electrical License
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience working with industrial electrical systems and controls
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and prints
• Experience troubleshooting 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC systems
• Familiarity with PLC systems and ladder logic
• Military experience highly desired

Requirements

• Troubleshoot electrical systems on conveyors, bearings, belts, and associated controls
• Use electrical diagnostic tools including multimeters and megameters
• Work with electrical panels, motors, sensors, valves, and control systems
• Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Review and troubleshoot PLC programs using Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms
• Make basic PLC programming changes as needed
• Troubleshoot and maintain ABB robots and controllers
• Prepare backups and update robot calibrations and positions
• Upload, download, and modify industrial vision systems including Cognex, Sherlock, Keyence, ABB, and Sick
• Maintain and adjust laser engraving systems including Keyence and Mecco Lasers
