Description

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer who is proficient in G&M code programming, AutoCAD, and Mastercam, with a strong background in setting up and optimizing CNC machines for efficient and accurate production. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, often under tight deadlines.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Commitment to a safe work environment, quality product, and teamwork.
  • Program CNC lathes using G&M code and Mastercam for a wide range of complex parts and materials
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Selection appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds based on materials and specifications.
  • Set up and prove out programs on the shop floor, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with machinists to refine and optimize machining processes.
  • Maintain program files and documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to programming, tooling, and machining operations.
  • Ensure all parts meet quality standards and tolerances
  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Proficiency in Mastercam and manual G&M code programming
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and material properties.
  • Ability to work from 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and precision measurement tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Specific Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities:
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop orders, and written instructions.
· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality standards.
· Proficiency in working with fractions and decimals.
· Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
· Skilled in using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
 
Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of two years’ experience in a production environment.
· Training in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Global Harmonization System (GHS), and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures. (Onsite training available.)
· Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Certification. (Onsite training available.)
 
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
· Frequent squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
