As a Commissioning/Qualification/Validation Project Engineer, you will operate as part of a team that delivers new and modified systems that are safe, functional, and compliant with design requirements and regulations. This is a full-time, exempt,1st shift position that reports to the Project Manager and is in Indianapolis, IN.

Primary responsibilities of the position include:

  • Work with the Project Manager to evaluate project scope of work and develop commissioning and qualification documentation that adequately tests equipment, processes, and facilities.
  • Ensure project documentation and testing complies with applicable policies, procedures, specifications, and regulations. (e.g. client's policies/procedures/specifications, ASHRAE, CFR, etc.)
  • Plan and coordinate project tasks and deliverables with the Technical Writer, Project Manager, Client, and project team to deliver a successful project.
  • Execute individual tasks to meet/exceed project schedule and deliver within budget.
  • Use test equipment, if necessary, during test execution.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues that may arise to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Gain technical knowledge of individual equipment and systems; apply knowledge to project work.
  • Proactively communicate with clients, project managers, and team members, with professionalism and a commitment to quality.
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure completion of all duties and tasks assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriate.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work.
  • Other duties as assigned by Company Management.

Working Conditions:
  • On site at customer or company location.
  • Move around construction site.
  • Travel to local customer sites as needed.
  • Exposure to adverse weather is possible.

Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Prior experience or systems/Bluebeam or construction software/blueprints, etc.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 0-4 years of experience in engineering, construction, commissioning, or related technical field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to project software preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
