Position Details
Location: Riverside, MI
Compensation: $25 - $35/hr ($48k-$67k) + OT (Time + 1/2 after 8 hours/daily); $1,000 hiring bonus upon 90-day completion goals
Travel: This is a high travel role, quantified as 80% travel. The work is regional, however with international clients, you may have international travel opportunities. Driving service vans is to be expected with travel (valid and current driver’s license). If travel is needed, all expenses are paid, and you receive a $51/day per diem.
Benefits: This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package. With a guarantee of 5 workdays, your hourly rate can be calculated into a salary with great overtime earning potential.

Position Description
As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Install new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
• Coordinate and participate in installing unit or system to be tested in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power source, and indicating instruments.
• Activate controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject test item to successive steps in test cycle.
• Review performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives and inspect malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
• Troubleshoot and repair units that do not function according to specifications prior to shipment including electrical and HVAC systems and controls.
• Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
• Analyze reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, and recommend modifications to eliminate future problems.
• Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
• Develop and conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
• Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

Position Requirements
• The ideal candidate is universal certified with ladder logic and HVAC (refrigeration experience).
• Electrical training, especially working with high voltage power.
• Able to read both electrical schematics and plumbing diagrams.
• Troubleshoot wiring using multimeter and amp probes.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs process control systems as well as understand and troubleshoot electrical and gas fired heating systems.
• Successful with minimal supervision.
• Overtime is required at times to maintain customer and company deadlines.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally to customer locations to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance as required.
• Welding experience and certification may move candidates up as a priority.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a passport.
