Description

The Field Service Technician is responsible for supporting fuel cell systems through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and diagnostics at customer sites. This role supports advanced energy technology systems in mission-critical environments and requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, independent work capability, and customer interaction.
The technician will manage service activities, maintain equipment and inventory, and support operational reliability while working closely with technical teams and customers. Location: Camden County, NJ.


Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• High school diploma with 6 years of experience in electrical, process controls, or electro-mechanical fields
• OR technical diploma, journeyman certification, or electrician certification with 4 years of relevant experience
• OR 5+ years of commercial electrical experience combined with military electrical or technical experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards
• Experience with three-phase systems, power distribution systems, UPS systems, ATS systems, or power electronics
• Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and blueprints
• Experience using electrical and electronic test equipment
• Mechanical troubleshooting aptitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and support on-call and shift schedules


Requirements
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, testing, and diagnostics on fuel cell systems
• Diagnose technical issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain service vehicle and spare parts inventory
• Create and manage daily service workflows
• Produce accurate service reports and complete administrative documentation
• Follow company procedures, protocols, and customer site requirements
• Support customers and maintain positive professional relationships
• Participate in on-call rotations and shift support as needed
• Travel to support additional projects and company needs
• Work safely around electrical systems and elevated work areas
• Lift and handle equipment up to required weight limits

• Prior experience with electromechanical components
• Military electrical or power generation background
• Experience with electrical generation and distribution systems
