Description

We are seeking a hands-on Calibration Technician to perform calibration, troubleshooting, and minor repair of precision measurement equipment. This position supports work both in a calibration laboratory and at customer locations, including mobile laboratory operations.

This is a strong opportunity for candidates with military calibration, electronics, instrumentation, metrology, maintenance, or other technical experience who are comfortable working with precision equipment and following detailed procedures.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Technical experience in calibration, electronics, instrumentation, maintenance, metrology, or a related field
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, work instructions, and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify potential issues
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and calibration documentation
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally and work at customer locations as needed
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug/alcohol testing
  • Ability to complete required safety training and follow customer- specific safety requirements

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • 1+ year of calibration or technical experience
  • Military experience, particularly in Calibration, Metrology, Measurement Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Maintenance
  • Experience calibrating or working with:
    • Electrical/Electronic equipment
    • Dimensional measurement equipment
    • Torque instruments
    • Pressure instruments
    • Force measurement equipment
    • Thermodynamic instruments
  • Experience using precision reference standards
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or ISO/IEC 17025

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine calibration using precision reference standards.
  • Calibrate a variety of electrical, electronic, dimensional, torque, pressure, force, and thermodynamic instruments.
  • Troubleshoot non-operational instruments and perform minor repairs under laboratory management direction.
  • Follow established calibration methods, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and reporting.
  • Work closely with Metrologists, Technical Managers, Metrology Engineers, and Laboratory Management.
  • Support ISO 9001 audits and ISO/IEC 17025 assessments.
  • Participate in inter- and intra-laboratory proficiency testing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and company vehicle.
  • Travel to customer facilities and support mobile laboratory operations as required.
  • Follow all company, customer, safety, and regulatory policies.
