Position Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead a team of manufacturing employees responsible for producing high-quality automotive acoustic and thermal management products in a fast-paced production environment. You will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and direction to production personnel while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives are consistently achieved.

This position is ideal for military leaders, manufacturing supervisors, production leaders, maintenance supervisors, operations supervisors, and candidates with experience leading teams in industrial, automotive, aerospace, logistics, or high-volume manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop production team members to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and attendance goals.
  • Monitor daily production operations to ensure schedules and customer delivery requirements are met.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with all company safety, environmental, and operational policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization.
  • Coordinate staffing plans, employee training, and workforce development activities.
  • Investigate and resolve production, quality, and equipment-related issues to minimize downtime and improve performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Logistics teams to support operational objectives.
  • Conduct shift meetings, communicate production priorities, and provide ongoing employee coaching and feedback.
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, automotive, or operations environment.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and developing hourly employees.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production and operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience monitoring production metrics and driving performance improvements.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and production processes.
  • Experience working in a union manufacturing environment.
  • Military leadership experience with responsibility for personnel, operations, maintenance, or logistics teams.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, or production management systems.
