Position Details
Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Salary: Low-to-mid $60K in the first year, with growth in Year 2; with on-call pay and travel allowances

Position Description:
The Digital Service Engineer provides operational, maintenance and networking support for customers through extensive product and customer skills knowledge. In this role, you will work closely with Field Service Managers, Branch Service Managers and other engineers to provide high-level technical support with seamless technical expertise of supported products in accordance with the current Service and Parts Standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical, software, network and system failures, using established Service and Repair designated equipment, in an assigned territory, to company standards.
Prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues ensuring accurate information.
Complete working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups. This includes all aspects of troubleshooting. This level is the final comprehensive tier to include workflow analysis, customer relations and ultimately customer satisfaction and retention.
Meet customer demands by providing efficient, responsive and accurate flow of service
Maintain all technical information and property assigned and provide direction to less senior engineers in the same.
Provide the solutions of escalated technical and / or customer service related problem areas for any territory.

Position Requirements:
Associate’s degree or equivalent training in Military/Trade School/Industry or equivalent experience or completion of an Electronics school or equivalent electronics training with one to five years of related experience.
An understanding of computer platforms, general application software, and networking
Proven electro-mechanical
Excellent customer service
Effective communication and organizational
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with supervisors, other team members, and with customers, and must be able to clearly communicate technical information, both orally and in writing.
You must be able to effectively manage your own time, inventory and ensure that work is completed efficiently, including scheduling work to accommodate customer's needs and end user SLAs.
You must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 lbs
Candidates must be willing to travel within 50 miles of the location (minimal overnight travel except for training).
Candidates for this role must be able to work on-call when required to support a 24/7 customer.
