Description

The Maintenance Technician supports 2nd shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with lead technicians and production operators to ensure equipment reliability and uptime across multiple facilities.
This is a hands-on role focused on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, precision repairs, and preventive maintenance. The technician will utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work and manage maintenance activities. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
  • Perform precision machine repairs and component replacement
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and prints
  • Utilize CMMS to document maintenance activities and manage work orders
  • Travel between Troy, Piqua, and Kings Chapel facilities as required
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control systems
  • Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, multimeters)
  • Safely perform work at heights using appropriate equipment

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Experience with drive systems, bearings, welding, cutting, drilling, threading, and layout work
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience, including PLCs and VFDs
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic system troubleshooting experience
  • Experience using CMMS systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills
  • Ability to work safely at heights
  • 2-year Electronics degree preferred (Electro-Mechanical preferred)

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Advanced experience with electrical control systems
  • Experience working in multi-plant environments
  • Military mechanical or electrical background
  • Additional certifications in electrical or industrial maintenance
