About the Role

RIX Industries is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented IT Data Analyst to transform complex manufacturing and operational data into actionable business intelligence that drives performance, efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

In this role, you will serve as a key partner to production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and IT teams. You will develop reporting solutions, build dashboards, support ERP and MES systems, and provide insights that improve operational performance across mission-critical applications in Marine, Aerospace, Energy, Industrial, Medical, and Critical Infrastructure markets.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze manufacturing data (production, downtime, scrap, throughput, yield, inventory) to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Translate raw data into actionable insights to support quality control, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making
  • Develop, maintain, and automate recurring dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools
  • Support KPI tracking, including OEE, yield, downtime, cost efficiency, and production performance metrics
  • Extract and analyze data from ERP systems (Infor CSI/Syteline, SAP, Oracle) and MES platforms for scheduled and ad hoc reporting
  • Collaborate with IT and software developers to support and maintain .NET-based reporting systems, integrations, and workflows
  • Conduct root cause analysis using historical and real-time data to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, governance, and consistency across reporting platforms
  • Create clear, concise written summaries and visualizations that communicate insights to leadership and operational teams
  • Provide training and documentation to non-technical users to support adoption of dashboards and reporting tools
  • Perform additional duties in support of RIX's operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives

Must-Have Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting within a manufacturing or operational environment
  • Strong SQL skills for querying ERP, MES, and production databases
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros, modeling)
  • Experience extracting, cleaning, and structuring data from APIs, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), or flat files
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems (Infor CSI/Syteline, SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial production environments
  • Background supporting .NET-based applications or custom reporting integrations

  • Base Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000
