Description
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site service, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery throughout the Northeast region. This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, dismantling and repairing equipment, installing new or refurbished components, and testing machines to ensure proper operation following service. The technician will work directly with customers to understand equipment issues, coordinate repairs through a dispatcher, and complete preventive maintenance and scheduled service visits. This position requires strong organization, documentation, and time-management skills, along with a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and efficient route planning while traveling extensively in the field.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
• Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery
• Ability to diagnose wear, misalignment, and mechanical failures
• Experience replacing components such as bearings, gears, belts, shafts, and spindles
• Ability to install and repair electronic components in machinery
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent time-management and customer communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment
• Experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery

Requirements:
• Willingness to travel approximately 75% throughout the Northeast region
• Ability to attend paid two-week training in Michigan
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to accurately complete work orders, timecards, and service documentation via ERP/tech portal
• Commitment to working safely in varied environments and prioritizing safety at all times
• Ability to attend paid two-week training in Michigan
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to accurately complete work orders, timecards, and service documentation via ERP/tech portal
