Description
The Operations Technician is responsible for supporting plant operations through material handling, equipment support, housekeeping, packaging, and production assistance activities. This role helps ensure safe, efficient operation of the facility while supporting production, maintenance, and logistics functions as needed.
The position requires a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the ability to perform a variety of hands-on tasks within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to operate a forklift and successfully complete company forklift certification training
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment
• Ability to work overtime on short notice
• Commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards

Requirements

• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Crate and uncrate materials as required
• Break up caked or frozen materials and perform other manual labor activities
• Stock, pile, and transport materials and supplies
• Assist with mail pickup, deliveries, and expedited materials handling
• Perform plant housekeeping and general cleanup activities
• Support waste disposal, grounds maintenance, grass cutting, and snow removal as needed
• Operate forklifts to transport materials and equipment throughout the facility
• Assist operators and maintenance personnel with repair and production activities
• Support operating, packaging, blending, and screening equipment as assigned
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Provide temporary coverage for other job classifications during absences, vacations, and leaves
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors and management
