Description

The Maintenance Foreman provides hands-on leadership and oversight of electrical, mechanical, and technical maintenance operations supporting fabrication equipment. This position leads maintenance supervisors and hourly maintenance personnel, drives equipment reliability, and ensures production starts on schedule by addressing downtime, maintenance concerns, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate maintenance supervisors and hourly maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee electrical, mechanical, and technical maintenance of fabrication equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues that contribute to production downtime.
  • Review downtime reports and communicate maintenance performance to plant and corporate management.
  • Assign work orders, projects, and priorities to maintenance supervisors.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and address production maintenance concerns.
  • Provide hands-on electrical, mechanical, and technical support when needed.
  • Review maintenance purchase requisitions and manage department spending within budget.
  • Support hiring and selection of maintenance supervisors, general foremen, and hourly maintenance employees.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Previous industrial maintenance and maintenance supervisory experience required.
  • Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to lead, prioritize, delegate, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Technical schooling or formal training in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance.
  • Industrial construction experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or high-volume production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance systems.
