Description

The Product Deployment Specialist serves as a Subject Matter Expert supporting complex Integrated OR AV and IP/network-based systems. This position provides high-level technical support through onsite, remote, and phone-based troubleshooting and works closely with the Critical Response Team to investigate and resolve highly complex technical and customer-sensitive issues.

The role requires advanced AV and IP troubleshooting expertise, strong customer-facing skills, and the ability to work independently in hospitals, operating rooms, laboratories, and surgery centers. The specialist will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment modifications, system troubleshooting, and software/hardware configuration while ensuring work is completed according to established SOPs, SLAs, and work instructions.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • 5–7 years of technical support experience troubleshooting AV or IP infrastructures, or 2–3 years of comparable OR integration systems experience
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience with AV, IP/network-based, or integrated OR systems
  • Proficient understanding of AV and IP systems and how they interact
  • Ability to troubleshoot high-complexity technical incidents
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and equipment modifications on integration and IT/network-based systems
  • Knowledge of software/hardware configuration, system operations, and service-related troubleshooting
  • Proficient understanding of Coax, Mini-Hi-Res, copper, multi-conductor, CAT-5/6, and fiber-optic cabling
  • Experience with cable pulling, cable dressing, and system connections
  • Ability to solder and perform fiber, crimp, and compression terminations for audio, video, network, control, and power devices
  • Ability to install and mount AV equipment, including wall displays and speakers
  • Knowledge of control systems, audio consoles, power amplifiers, digital signal processors, video matrix switchers, video scalers, PC interfaces, computer controls, and digital video recorders
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, work instructions, and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with hand tools, fiber termination kits, and power meters
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Strong technical documentation and service-reporting skills
  • Excellent professional customer-service and communication skills
  • Ability to operate with limited direct supervision
  • Ability to manage complex and customer-sensitive situations in high-stress environments
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 80% throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
  • Flexibility to work the typical 12:00 PM–9:00 PM Area shift and Saturdays as required
