Description

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and facility upkeep in a manufacturing environment.
This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical skills and experience working on industrial equipment, pumps, motors, piping systems, and facility infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose equipment failures and replace or repair defective components
  • Maintain rotating equipment, pumps, valves, ventilation systems, and facility equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and work orders
  • Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and facility maintenance tasks
  • Use hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment
  • Coordinate and support outside contractors working onsite
  • Complete maintenance documentation, PM records, and purchase requisitions
  • Assist with plant security, safety audits, inspections, and housekeeping activities
  • Operate powered industrial equipment and floor-cleaning equipment as required
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
