Position Details
Title: Production Manager
Location: Williamsburg, VA (Onsite)
Shift or Travel: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $105K–$130K + 10–15% performance bonus
Benefits: Full benefits package available
Travel: No
Position Description:
• Oversee daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and safety
• Lead a team of supervisors and staff to achieve company goals
• Ensure all activities meet EHS and QA standards
• Develop and execute strategies to support growth, including capacity planning, production flow analysis, training, and alignment with financial goals
• Collaborate with peer departments to align on strategic objectives
• Implement KPIs and corrective actions based on performance data
• Support and improve SIOPS processes in partnership with Shared Services
• Deliver detailed production plans and track project progress
• Participate in project handovers and provide production feedback through all phases
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Lead root cause analysis and implement preventative actions for quality issues
• Maintain audit readiness and represent Production during audits
• Manage operational risk and advise leadership on key decisions
• Develop and manage production budget
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence
• Conduct performance reviews and employee development
• Oversee machinery maintenance and minimize downtime
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
• Report on production, quality, and safety metrics
• Support digital transformation and automation efforts
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and sustainability standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 7+ years of manufacturing/plant operations experience, with 3+ years in leadership
• Strong background in production management, lean manufacturing, and safety
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
• Global manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong cost structure, budgeting, and ROI analysis understanding
• Cross-functional collaboration skills
• Six Sigma or Lean certification
• Experience with ISO or GMP standards
