Description
As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all electrical aspects of pipeline operations to ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible performance. This role emphasizes preventive maintenance and corrective repairs with minimal service interruption.
You will work primarily in the field, supporting daily operations, regulatory compliance, and emergency response while serving as a key contributor to overall pipeline system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems associated with pipeline operations
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components to maintain optimal system performance
- Ensure safety, reliability, and environmental compliance remain top priorities
- Support and assist with operational and maintenance projects within assigned areas
- Maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements and complete all required training
- Conduct DOT inspections and complete required regulatory documentation
- Maintain site security and comply with company policies and procedures
- Document maintenance activities accurately in the Maximo database
- Participate in Maintenance On-Call rotation, providing 24-hour emergency response as required
- Support emergency response efforts when requested
- Utilize computer systems including Windows, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and email
- Travel as required for training or operational needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical or vocational education preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical or industrial maintenance experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to live or relocate within 25 miles of Cushing, OK
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and emergency response
- Strong safety mindset with accountability for safe work practices
- Ability to work independently in outdoor field environments
- Familiarity with computer systems (Windows, Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets)
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Electrical Journeyman license or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program
- Industrial HVAC/R experience
- Experience supporting crude oil pipeline systems, pumping stations, or delivery facilities
- Familiarity with pumps, motors, valves, switchgear, flow meters, PLCs, MCCs, UPS systems, and instrumentation
- Certified technical designation
