Description

The Line Service Manager is responsible for leading the Line Service Department and ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused aircraft ground-service operations. This position manages line service supervisors and team members, oversees fuel management, aircraft movement and storage, facility startup activities, equipment readiness, training, payroll, overtime, and damage-prevention programs.

The Line Service Manager will work closely with the Customer Service Manager and FBO Manager while providing leadership to the line service team. This position requires significant FBO/line service experience, including aircraft fueling, fuel inventory management, supervisory responsibilities, aircraft movement, and ramp safety.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Minimum 5 years of line service experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Line service supervisory experience
  • Aircraft fueling and fuel-management experience
  • Experience monitoring and managing aviation fuel inventory
  • Experience reconciling fuel load receipts and ordering fuel
  • Experience supervising and developing line service personnel
  • Experience prioritizing, assigning, and monitoring work performed by supervisors and team members
  • Experience conducting or supporting employee performance evaluations
  • Experience establishing employee training and development goals
  • Experience managing employee schedules, payroll, and overtime
  • Experience participating in the hiring and development of line service teams
  • Knowledge of FBO line service operations
  • Experience with aircraft movement, storage, and hangar arrangements
  • Ability to anticipate aircraft arrival and departure requirements
  • Strong understanding of aircraft damage-prevention practices
  • Strong knowledge of ramp and line service safety procedures
  • Experience ensuring team training meets DOT requirements
  • Experience conducting or participating in shift pass-down meetings
  • Ability to oversee facility startup activities, including facility security
  • Experience performing or overseeing vehicle and equipment readiness checks
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including in-person, telephone, and radio communications
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to meet company vehicle-insurance requirements
