Description
The Field Service Engineer provides on-site and remote technical support for X-ray and medical imaging equipment. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing imaging systems at customer sites while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Field Service Engineers work independently in the field and collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and support long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance and quality assurance inspections, maintaining service documentation, completing required vendor training, and supporting after-hours service coverage through an on-call rotation. This position plays a critical role in supporting mission-critical medical environments.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Strong electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience using field service tools and working with mechanical systems
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Willingness and ability to travel within assigned territory
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and commitment to teamwork
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Military electronic or electrical background
- Prior experience servicing medical imaging or X-ray equipment
- Experience working in regulated or mission-critical environments
- Familiarity with service documentation systems and QA/PM procedures
