Description
We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to support customers throughout the assigned territory. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background who enjoys troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and working directly with customers in the field.
You will provide installation support, maintenance, repair, testing, and commissioning for critical power and electrical distribution equipment, including low-voltage switchgear, transformers, and related power systems. Military veterans with electrical power, electronics, power generation, or related technical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Install, test, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power distribution equipment.
- Work with low-voltage switchgear, transformers, and related critical power systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems and power distribution equipment.
- Use test equipment including multimeters, current meters, and related diagnostic tools.
- Complete technical reports, test sheets, and service documentation.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 4+ years of relevant electrical, power distribution, field service, maintenance, or related technical experience OR an Associate degree in Electrical Power Distribution or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with electrical power distribution systems and AC/DC electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, current meters, and related diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites and communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Military electrical or technical experience.
- Data center or other mission-critical facility experience.
- Experience with low-voltage switchgear, transformers, power monitoring systems, or power distribution equipment.
- Experience with the design or assembly of low-voltage switchgear or power distribution equipment.
