Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team in Farmingdale, NY. This
role is ideal for an experienced machinist who thrives in a fast-paced,
quality-focused environment and has deep expertise in CNC setup, operation, and
troubleshooting. The position supports the production of precision components
used in critical defense and aerospace applications.

What You’ll Do
- Set up, program, and operate vertical CNC machining centers to produce
precision components - Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, setup sheets, and
engineering drawings - Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure adherence to tight
tolerances - Select tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining performance and
quality - Conduct routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate production documentation and setup records
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve machining
processes - Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment
- Work with a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum and Inconel
Must-Have Skills and Experience
(These are required for consideration.)
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on CNC machining experience
- Strong setup and operation experience on CNC machining centers
- Experience working within tight tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience using precision measuring instruments including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Height gauges
- Dial indacators
- Strong understanding of machining different materials and cutting tool technology
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- US Citizen
Nice-to-Have Skills
(These are preferred but not required.)
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, OKK, or similar CNC control platforms
- Experience operating both vertical and horizontal mills
- Manual machining experience using Bridgeport equipment
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
- Experience machining Inconel or specialty alloys

Additional Details
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM, with overtime available including Saturdays and extended weekday hours
Salary Range: $38-$48/hour DOE
Travel: None expected
Certifications: No certifications required
