Description
In this role, you will take new product designs and bring them to life. You will own concurrently designing Amca product manufacturing processes with the Design and Test Engineering teams. You'll provide engineering knowledge to quickly execute new product development, and manufacture them at our prototype & test facility with the goal of rapidly transitioning new and better products to our manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Own prototype design first builds.
- Work with Design Engineering teams to understand end-use applications and requirements.
- Participate in new product manufacturing and build-out using leading-edge manufacturing methods.
- Work with Build Engineering teams to rapidly bring assembly and test tooling on-line.
- Manage tooling configurations (drawing revisions, BOM structure, and part configuration) in accordance with aerospace standards and internal design and documentation controls.
- Provide feedback to Amca engineering teams to ensure that products and processes are fully optimized for reliability, safety, producibility, and cost.
- Support build and manufacturing process development efforts in Amca's prototype development facility.
- Assist with equipment selection and actively manage equipment onboarding and commissioning.
- Assist in manufacturing engineering development at Amca subsidiary facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize and expand manufacturing capabilities while improving design performance and producibility.

- Proficient in CAD, PLM/PDM systems, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and Materials & Processing (M&P).
