Job Description:

As a field service technician you ensure our customers around North America can keep their production running smoothly. You will troubleshoot and carry out maintenance on our packaging machines and train end users on best practices. You'll work independently but you can always count on your colleagues to lend a hand when needed.
About You:
You have solid technical insight, both mechanical and electrical. Diplomas are great but we value hands on experience even more. You're solutions oriented and can communicate in a professional/effective manner. You're willing to travel and have a flexible attitude towards working and travel hours. Up to 75% travel.
Location:
Onsite in Grand Rapids, MI
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a field service technician on automated machinery.
- Professional communication, attitude, and image. Good verbal and written presentation, organized, good planner, and solid interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and strong understanding of industrial machinery.
- Advanced understanding of PLC programs, HMI screens and multi-axis robots, motion control, and vision systems.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally with minimal notice. Position requires frequent travel including day trips, overnight trips, and trips lasting more than a week.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
Skills that are consideration for an expediated hiring process:
- Direct experience with automation in the food industry.
- Experience with plastics/bags/packaging
- History of long tenure with previous employers.
- Ability to lead and to take initiative

Salary Range:
- $35-$45 per hour depending on experience
