Repair Technician I/II

This is not a calibration-only position. The work includes hands-on repair, troubleshooting, and calibration of items such as handheld tools, torque wrenches, test equipment, and other measurement or production-support devices. Prior calibration experience is not required. Company is open to strong automotive service technicians, electronics repair technicians, military maintainers, and other technically capable candidates who can troubleshoot equipment and learn the calibration side of the role. Location: Marysville, OH / East Liberty, OH

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, align, and return test, measurement, diagnostic, and production-support equipment to service
• Repair and calibrate handheld tools, torque tools, test equipment, and related devices used in automotive manufacturing
• Diagnose equipment problems using technical manuals, schematics, manufacturer information, engineering drawings, and available test resources
• Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair when required
• Analyze electrical and electronic signals and measurements such as voltage, current, resistance, frequency, temperature, and related parameters as applicable
• Conduct independent research to identify repair methods and specifications
• Use hand tools, test equipment, and calibration resources safely and correctly
• Coordinate work priorities with site leadership, laboratory support, and customer personnel
• Maintain accurate time, material, repair, calibration, and service records
• Protect customer equipment and information while delivering professional onsite service
• Follow company, customer, safety, quality, and metrology requirements

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• Hands-on repair, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, electronic, automotive, industrial, or test equipment
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose equipment problems methodically
• Ability to use basic hand tools and learn specialized repair and calibration equipment
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, service information, schematics, or comparable technical documentation
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong learning mentality and willingness to develop calibration/metrology skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while supporting a customer-site team
• Ability to work the assigned Marysville or East Liberty shift
• Associate degree or technical-school education, 2-5 years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a college degree is not required when relevant experience is present

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Automotive service technician or dealership repair experience
• Electronics, instrumentation, bench repair, industrial maintenance, or test-equipment troubleshooting experience
• Calibration, metrology, torque-tool, or precision-measurement experience
• PMEL, PME, TMDE, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, Avionics, or comparable military technical background
• Experience with Pressure, Temperature, Electrical/Electronic, RF, Microwave, Dimensional, Fiber Optic, or related test-and-measurement equipment
• Experience working in an automotive manufacturing or high-volume production environment
• Customer-facing field service or onsite technical support experience
