Job Description

Orion is helping a global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food and non-food products hire a Facility Maintenance Supervisor in Dallas, TX

This is a relatively “hands-on” leadership position responsible for supervising the maintenance personnel and activities associated with the general maintenance, repair and appearance of the facility, outside grounds, security, power industrial equipment technicians and third-party providers. Candidates should have experience with hands-on maintenance of - or direct supervision of - maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems, since a majority of your responsibilities will relate to those systems within the facility. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, expense management, compliance with government regulations, ensuring safety and security of the building, its contents and people and management and direction to facility maintenance staff.

Other responsibilities include:
• Manage the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, power industrial equipment, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), automation, and security.
• Oversee labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepare work schedules including extra workdays and shifts as needed.
• Coordinate emergency response or crisis management activities, develops and maintains liaisons with local emergency management and other entities to facilitate plan development, response effort coordination and assists Safety Manager with training initiatives.
• Supervise the proper selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of Company assets in support of the facilities, beverage department, and power industrial equipment, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Automation, and security departments. Coordinates with other departments as necessary to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Establish preventative maintenance schedules for all systems, equipment, and buildings including: ammonia refrigeration system, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, fire protection and security systems, electrical and energy management, dock doors/dock plate systems, power industrial equipment, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Automation, building components (roof, interior and exterior floors/walls, doors, paved surfaces and landscaping).
• Utilize maintenance tracking software for task management.
• Conduct audits ensuring all required inspections and documentation are completed accurately (including but not limited to food safety documentation, EPSM, PSM, GFSI, etc.) to ensure a minimum potential for loss.

Compensation: Target base salary ~$72K to $82K, plus annual incentive bonus (averages ~15%)
Location: Dallas, TX
Shift: 2nd shift (Tue – Sat), generally starting around noon and going until around 10p. Sun-Mon off.
