Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install the electrical, control and instrumentation systems of the manufacturing site. Equipment is 24v - 480v. Examples are motor control center buckets, local disconnects, power distribution panels, 3 phase motors, VFDs, instruments, relays, automatic valves, and PLCs.
- Strictly adhere to electrical and arcflash PPE and safety requirements as well as Lock, Tag, Try and other basic safety programs
- Troubleshoot control and PLC panels [components, wiring, relays, PLC card replacement]
- Install, program and troubleshoot flow, pressure, level, position sensors etc. as well as control valves and other automation related equipment
- Design and implement basic electrical projects like running conduit or cable tray and wire to install motors, automatic valves, instruments etc.
Must-Have Experience, and Education:
- High school diploma or GED required at the time of hiring.
- Journeyman level industrial electrician with 5-7 years minimum experience with 480v power distribution systems and components [Motor Control Center buckets, Power distribution panels, Motors, VFDs]
- Extensive experience working with and troubleshooting 24v to 480v systems
Must-Have Skills:
- Excellent 24v – 480v equipment and instrumentation troubleshooting skills
- Experience installing, programming and troubleshooting field instrumentation like pressure, flow, level, and position sensors, VFDs, control valves and other automation equipment.
- Familiarity with PLC hardware, wiring and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to read/interpret CAD based drawings for repair/installation of electrical/piping equipment.
- Be able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds, walk, sit, squat, bend, push/pull with arms/leg, reach overhead and stoop.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to balance responsibilities for given priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and provide timely and effective solutions.
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Forklift / Skid-Steer/ Man lift/ Crane operation.
- Electrical Journey certificate, OSHA 30 Training, NFPA 70E Training
- Associate degree in Industrial Systems Technology or equivalent field.
- Mechanical maintenance experience
