Description
The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring all plant equipment and systems are properly maintained to support safe and efficient operations. This position requires strong electro-mechanical skills, troubleshooting ability, and the capability to work independently while maintaining high operational standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working 40+ hours per week, including weekends as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plant repair tools safely and effectively
- Follow and execute preventative maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Perform basic welding and cutting operations as needed
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Communicate process variables and equipment conditions to supervisors and team members
- Support plant operations during peak production periods
- Collaborate with plant employees at all levels to maintain operational excellence
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Knowledge of hydraulic control systems
- Basic electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
- Experience with welding and cutting operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints
- Minimum 2+ years of electro-mechanical experience
- Strong desire to continue developing technical skills
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- 3+ years of overall maintenance experience
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial plant environments
