Description
Company is seeking Aircraft Assembly Electrical Mechanics (Level B or C) to support the 787 production system in North Charleston, SC. This role supports advanced aircraft manufacturing in a dynamic assembly environment on a variable shift.
Team members leverage prior experience and foundational training to safely perform detailed electrical assembly and installation tasks on advanced aircraft. Candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail, strict procedural compliance, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Primary Responsibilities
- Safety: Strict adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Quality: Maintain rigorous quality standards and regulatory compliance
- Successfully complete and maintain required foundational training and certifications
- Read and interpret electronic work instructions, drawings, and specifications
- Use computers effectively in a production environment
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Operate mechanical lifts (ladders, tiger lifts, snorkel lifts)
- Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment (screwdrivers, ratchets, power tools, multimeters, continuity testers)
- Apply solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and finishes
- Inspect work quality and control Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
- Work around energized electrical systems and high-noise environments
- Perform fine motor tasks including finger manipulation and keyboarding
- Lift and carry 10–35 lbs
- Perform physically demanding tasks including climbing, crawling, crouching, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing
- Install aircraft electrical systems and components including wiring, tubing, valves, actuators, regulators, compressors, ducts, and interior components
- Route and install wire harnesses and connectors
- Perform fiber optic cleaning, inspection, testing, routing, and installation
- Work in confined spaces and wear respirators when required
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- 1+ year of experience using computer applications (email, internet, Microsoft Office, or similar)
- 1+ year of experience reading and following detailed work instructions, blueprints, drawings, or specifications (in English)
- 1+ year of experience performing mathematical calculations
- 1+ year of experience in a technical or mechanical role using hand, power, or pneumatic tools
- Ability to work a variable shift
- Ability to meet physical job demands including lifting, climbing, bending, and prolonged standing
- Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals
- Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications

- 3+ years of related technical or mechanical experience
- Experience installing aircraft system components
- Automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment mechanical background
- Wire routing, dressing, and mating connection experience
- Sealant application per technical specifications
