Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, machinery, and facility systems within a high-tech manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on second-shift position requiring an experienced technician who can work independently, diagnose equipment issues, and support safe and reliable manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and facility-related equipment.
- Maintain manufacturing equipment including HAAS machines, CNC lathes, pumps, motors, and other production machinery.
- Support facility systems including HVAC, electrical, compressed air, plumbing, fire alarms, gas detection, and building controls.
- Perform minor facility repairs involving drywall, ceilings, doors, hardware, and electrical components.
- Respond to equipment failures, alarms, leaks, utility interruptions, and other second-shift maintenance issues.
- Follow established safety procedures including LOTO, PPE, electrical safety, machine guarding, and fall protection.
- Complete work orders and document maintenance and repairs.
- Support contractors, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- 7–10 years of industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with motors, pumps, machinery, pneumatics, and facility systems.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance experience.
- Familiarity with industrial safety practices, including LOTO.
- Ability to work independently on second shift and participate in emergency call-in coverage.
- Ability to work from ladders/lifts and lift approximately 75 lbs.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- CNC, HAAS, or machining equipment maintenance experience.
- HVAC, compressed air, or building controls experience.
- CMMS/work-order system experience.
- Forklift or aerial lift experience.
- Rigging and equipment-moving experience.
- Experience with 6S, continuous improvement, or equipment reliability programs.
