Description
The company is seeking motivated Generator Service Technicians to support growing customer demand. This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and commercial generators.
No prior generator experience is required — the company provides hands-on training and development. This is an excellent opportunity to learn competitive trade skills while being paid and supported by a family-owned company.
Technicians are provided with a company vehicle and will travel daily to service customer locations. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working independently, solving problems, and working outdoors.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on generators
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems
- Travel to customer sites using a company-provided vehicle
- Manage daily service calls independently
- Maintain professional communication with customers
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver's license with excellent driving record
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Basic hand tools required (specialized tools provided)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Military mechanical or electrical background (Navy GSM/GSE, Army 91 series, Air Force Power Pro, etc.)
- Experience with small engines, diesel engines, HVAC, or industrial equipment
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Field service or customer-facing experience
