Position Details
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay: $75K-$80K + Bonus $4K-$5K
Travel: Position requires large amount of travel (up to 90%)

Position Description
As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Service and repair company machines.
• Calibrate equipment to relevant standards and procedures.
• Use most current test methods.
• Evaluate the result of test for reasonableness.
• Installation of new company machines.
• Customer training of operation and software of company machines.
• Modify specifications or design new test methods as required.
• Prepare written reports of calibration results according to ISO/IEC 17025, Section 5.10.
• Support customer and other personnel with technical advice when required.
• Troubleshoot electronic & electromechanical devices from schematic and mechanical drawings.

Position Requirements
• The ideal candidates are skilled technicians with formal technical training and 4+ years of technical experience.
• Military backgrounds in electronics, electrical maintenance, and/or mechanical component repair are all great skillsets and backgrounds that translate successfully to these roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience with universal destructive testing machines and extensometers highly desired.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline.
