Description
The Real Estate Development & Acquisition Manager provides essential coordination and administrative support to the Chief Development & Acquisitions Officer and development team across the full project lifecycle.
This role will be responsible for the reporting and presentation on all activities undertaken within the Development and Acquisitions group but primarily assisting the CDAO with the coordination of data flow and information to all stakeholders within the company who require data and information on Projects, Acquisition activity, Due Diligence updates, Development timelines and Fiscal performance
Acting as the pivotal point of coordination, the position supports communication with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. This position shall have the responsibility for the organization and administration of all document and data flow, and in most cases will initiate certain data input and collation of project information. In addition to the oversight of the organization of information, the coordinator will work closely with the CDAO on all aspects of the Development and Acquisition activities. The ideal candidate brings relevant experience in organization and administration coordination, ability to work with internal and external IT systems and the necessary strong organizational, project management, and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Support the CDAO by administrating the acquisition and development process, that will include due diligence, transaction management, and deal coordination.
- Team Support & Management: Support the CDAO tracking the work of architects, engineers, and consultants; scheduling meetings and track project milestones for the CDAO to report on
- Reporting Coordination: Responsible for coordinating and assisting in the preparation of Board presentation, ELT management decks, and other reporting activities
- Administrative Oversight: Assist the Site Development Director and Project Mangers with their review of tracking project costs against budgets and managing RFP responses.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate and assist CDAO with his activities as a primary contact for contractors, community groups, and local government officials.
- Site Support: Arrange site visits and coordinate activities with CDAO for DD and new acquisition activities
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in project management
- 3-6+ years working in either an Executive Administrative or Organization capacity - real estate development, property management, or construction experience a plus
- Understanding of Project Development activities and procedures.
- Ability to develop strong business relationships across functions.
- Ability to embrace change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong team mindset, both within the department and cross-functional.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in IT systems and project management software
