Position Description: Materials Manager - New Product Introduction (NPI)

This position reports to the Director Global Sourcing. You will recruit, train, and manage a global team of 5-10 NPI Buyer/Planners supporting all supply chain requirements for the Product Development process. The NPI Materials Manager will work closely with Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering leaders to influence product design decision-making and provide all necessary supply support to achieve NPI target cost, delivery and quality requirements.

Compensation: Highly competitive base salary range, depending on experience, plus 10% STIP Bonus

Key Responsibilities include:
• Develop, implement and enforce global supply chain policies and processes supporting the Product Development process
• Establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for NPI Supply Chain
• Evolve use of data management tools to simplify and improve engagement with suppliers. (ERP, EDI, Supplier Portal, Contract Management, etc.)
• Drive supplier performance improvement
• Ensure business competitiveness by continuously evaluating new technologies and suppliers, and reporting on market conditions and trends
• Work cross-functionally to support business goals

Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related technical field
• Supply chain/procurement/contract management professional certifications preferred
• 10 or more years of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain with 5 or more years leading a supply chain team; ideally from an electronics technology environment
• Supply chain experience with ERP, e-Sourcing platforms, and RFQ tools
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface, coordinate and negotiate with company personnel and supplier executives
• Cross-functional experience to interface with engineering/technology, operations, quality, and finance
