Description

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machining centers while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This customer-facing role provides technical service, machine installations, retrofits, operator training, and ongoing support to ensure equipment performs to OEM specifications.
This position is ideal for experienced CNC service technicians, industrial maintenance professionals, electricians, automation technicians, or military technical professionals who enjoy traveling, solving complex electromechanical problems, and working directly with customers.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and valid passport.
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills on CNC machining centers.
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Electrical schematics.
    • Mechanical drawings.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced field service environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including:
    • Microsoft Word.
    • Microsoft Excel.
    • Microsoft Outlook.

Requirements:
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC machining centers.
  • Install, commission, and start up new CNC machines.
  • Perform retrofit installations and machine upgrades.
  • Verify machine performance meets OEM specifications.
  • Train customers on machine operation and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and serve as a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Prepare detailed service reports following each service visit.
  • Maintain communication with the Service Department and headquarters.
  • Travel nationally Monday through Friday with home weekends.
  • Work nights and weekends when required.
  • Safely drive or travel by air to customer locations.
  • Frequently stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
