Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising maintenance employees involved in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment used in a manufacturing environment. This position oversees maintenance activities and support staff while ensuring production equipment remains safe, reliable, and available to meet operational requirements.
The Maintenance Supervisor will provide leadership, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management for the maintenance team while coordinating maintenance activities across shifts. This position also supports technical and quality process controls, resolves equipment and operational issues, maintains accurate maintenance documentation, and works cross-functionally to achieve productivity, quality, safety, and cost objectives.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of plant engineering and general maintenance experience
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Experience supervising maintenance technicians or maintenance support personnel
  • Experience with CNC turning equipment
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving production equipment issues
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience coordinating maintenance of production equipment
  • Experience overseeing installation and maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery
  • Experience assigning, scheduling, and monitoring maintenance work
  • Ability to allocate and reallocate maintenance resources based on production and operational needs
  • Experience training, coaching, counseling, and developing maintenance employees
  • Experience monitoring employee performance and providing feedback
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance requirements and applicable codes
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of EPA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience maintaining a safe and compliant industrial maintenance environment
  • Experience completing and maintaining maintenance reports, forms, logs, and records
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance documentation
  • Experience working with productivity and quality standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational problems and implement corrective actions
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional manufacturing teams
  • Experience identifying or implementing cost-saving opportunities
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
