Description
Seeking a skilled Technical Support Representative to join the team in Kansas City. In this role, you will serve as a key resource for both internal teams and external customers, delivering expert remote technical support through the mechanical, electronic, and operational aspects of company equipment. You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation that supports our global customer base.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers by diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electronic, and application issues related to company products.
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead and colleagues to build a comprehensive product knowledge base and develop effective troubleshooting techniques.
- Prepare and distribute technical documentation to internal and external customers as required.
- Identify quality-related issues and assist with coordinating their resolution with company's international headquarters.
- Support the Controls Technician with programming electronic spare parts and develop solutions to unique challenges that impact parts shipping deadlines.
- Travel periodically for training sessions, machine acceptance testing, customer application assessments, and complex field service engagements at customer sites.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the success of internal teams and external customers.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, & Education:
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of two years of related experience in field service or manufacturing — or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and operational aspects of industrial machinery.
- Solid understanding of induction and servo motors, drives, and controllers.
- Basic knowledge of low-voltage switches, sensors, and transducers, as well as electro-pneumatics and vacuum principles.
