Job Description

Position Details:
• Title: Project Engineer
• Location: Goldens Bridge, NY with projects in Westchester, Lower Hudson Valley, NYC & Connecticut
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, daytime hours. Occasional after hours or weekend work
• Travel: Local travel
• Compensation: $90k to $120K+, depending on experience

Position Description:
• Manage all aspects of construction approvals, constructability reviews, trade and scope coordination
• Compile required submittal log based on contract documents of new projects
• Facilitate project contractor/vendor on-boarding for new projects
• Develop submittal schedule to ensure timely submission of construction documentation including contractor safety documentation
• Review and process submittals and RFI for all trades contractor/vendors
• Maintain current set of construction documents including bulletin, sketch and RFI updates
• Conduct scope coordination between general trades based on approved submittals and coordination drawings prior to construction
• Conduct MEP coordination for all mechanical trades based on approved submittals prior to construction
• Attend contractor meetings as requested by the project manager
• Assist in scope coordination/constructability issue resolution during construction as requested by the project manager
• Other duties as directed by the project manager

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, or business administration preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a project engineering/managing role.
• Analytical problem-solving ability with attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office and a working knowledge of CAD/BIM tools
• Solid understanding of construction means and methods, time management, and organizational skills
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
