Job Description

Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Production Supervisor positions with the industry-leading manufacturer of insulated panel systems, a supplier of aftermarket parts and replacement equipment and provider of seamless installation services.

Position Details
Location: Conyers, GA
Compensation: Target Annual $60,000 - $80,000
Bonus: Performance Bonus of 5%-10%
Shift: 1st shift (8-11 hrs varies – early start may be as of 6am)
Travel: 5% local travel (plant to plant). Overnight travel is extremely rare, but when required it is schedule in advance.

Position Description
As a Production Supervisor, you will be reporting to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of production departments. You will be responsible for ensuring the company meets safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping goals. The day-to-day in this role will have you ensuring all equipment is in working order, as well as procuring materials and parts necessary to keep the facility functioning. You will supervise workers and assistant managers to ensure productivity. Some duties will include:
• Identify problems and initiate corrective action.
• Direct multi-functions.
• Administer company policies and procedures.
• Ensure employee safety via SMS processes and procedures.
• Determine manpower requirements to meet schedules.
• Facilitate internal continuous improvement processes.
• Participate in formulating manufacturing policies and procedures.

Position Requirements
• The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a strong leadership background, specifically a few years in manufacturing/industrial setting or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and superior communication skills to accurately identify deficiencies and to make recommendations for improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple employees to ensure quality of work and that your team is executing with efficiency.
• Understanding of ISO and Lean Principles, ideally in the manufacturing/industrial space.
• Ability to direct associates using facilitation and demonstration techniques.
• Solid mechanical aptitude.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is a big plus!
