Description

One of our prestigious clients seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our renewable energy team in Limon,TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and Balance of Plant systems to maximize uptime and energy production.

This is a hands-on, independent position where you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and technical inspections while promoting a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate brings experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a wind energy or industrial setting, with a proven ability to work at heights and in demanding environments

Responsibilities:

  • Safely perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines and Balance of Plant equipment.
  • Adhere to all Enbridge safety standards, including electrical safety, fall protection, confined space, and hazardous energy control.
  • Utilize SCADA and turbine software for troubleshooting, monitoring, and system optimization.
  • Perform asset integrity inspections and support both minor and major unscheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Accurately complete work orders and documentation using Maximo and other maintenance management systems.
  • Provide technical input and identify risks or gaps in task execution, recommending mitigation methods.
  • Participate in training and maintain certifications including First Aid/CPR, climb and rescue, and confined space.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to updated procedures and documentation

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school or college diploma preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, including wind turbine maintenance or similar industrial experience.
  • Proficient in scheduled maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Qualified in high voltage switching; experience with Vestas V100 and V90 turbines a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of wind power systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, electrical and mechanical systems, and plant operations.
  • Skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals; proficient with Microsoft Windows, SCADA, and maintenance software (Maximo).
  • Ability to climb towers up to 300 ft, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must meet climbing weight requirement of = 290 lbs. (including tools/equipment).
  • Valid driver's license (motor vehicle record check required) and ability to obtain a passport for occasional travel.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies
