Description
The Field Automation Specialist I & II supports the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation and power monitoring systems within mission-critical environments, including data centers. The ideal candidate has a foundation in controls, electrical systems, or HVAC and is eager to learn advanced automation technologies while working alongside experienced engineers and technicians on active projects from day one.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• 0–3 years of experience in controls, HVAC, electrical, or related technical fields preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
• Reliable work ethic and ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• OSHA-10 certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Associate degree or vocational training preferred but not required

• Assist with wiring verification and point-to-point continuity checks on field-installed automation devices
• Support network bring-up activities under the direction of senior technicians
• Assist with startup and commissioning of BAS and EPMS field devices
• Maintain field markups and assist with daily project reporting
• Report to work on time and ready to perform assigned tasks
• Maintain company tools, test equipment, materials, and vehicles
• Complete assigned OEM and internal training programs
• Support mission-critical data center projects while adhering to safety standards
• Travel to customer sites as required
• Support network bring-up activities under the direction of senior technicians
