Position Details:
Title: Hydro Technician I
Location: Plattsburg, NY
Shift: M-F; 6am – 4pm/ Rotating on call for Plant emergencies on weekends
Compensation: $22 - $26/ hr

Travel: Daily Area Travel (Home every night)

Position Description:
Lead troubleshooting and evaluation of mechanical equipment for assigned region/ Assist in evaluating equipment failures for methods or procedures to prevent reoccurrence/ Perform onsite work and local project management, in the implementation of Routine and Reoccurring Maintenance, Major Repairs and Capex for Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Activities/ Provide support for operations as required by Site Supervisor, including but not limited to the monitoring of hydroelectric power plant equipment operation and performance, Start, Adjust, and Stop generating units, operating valves, gates, or auxiliary equipment in hydroelectric power generating plants

Requirements:
• Knowledge in Mechanical theory and troubleshooting techniques/ 2-5 years relevant experience preferred
• Ability to use mechanical testing and measuring equipment, such as gauges, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers
• Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and civil drawings, for the use of troubleshooting and equipment isolation
