Job Description

Position Description: Outside Sales Consultant

In this role, you will perform outside sales, working with local Builders and Design Firms. You will be the main point of contact to builders/commercial business and the existing business. This role
will be key in maintaining and building future relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of sales cycle
• Work with Licensed Contractors, Project Managers, Architects, Property Managers, Realtors, and Interior Designers. Continually canvas for additional customers in these fields
• Prospect and qualify leads, schedule appointments
• Develop estimates/bids and generate proposals
• Meet with customers in showroom or customer/contractor’s office for review of products
• Negotiate and close
• Coordinate installation crews and scope of work, Project Manage to ensure successful execution
• Review labor invoices and address change orders prior to final billing
• Report sales analytics, successes, and opportunities to General Manager

Requirements:
• 3+ years previous sales experience, flooring or construction industry preferred
• Knowledge of flooring products
• A success-driven salesperson with a thirst to learn and hone business sales skillset
• Goal-oriented, with aspirations of growing professionally
• “Hunter” mindset - not afraid to pick up the phone and call prospects
• Team player who enjoys collaborating inter-departmentally
• Ability to read blueprints
• Proficient CRM usage
• Experience selling complex solutions preferred
• High school diploma or GED (College Degree Preferred)
• Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record (required for company vehicle)
• This role will require 3-4 days working in the field and 1-2 days in the office

Position Details:
• Location: Sacramento, CA
• Hours: Generally Monday-Friday, but days and hours can be flexible to accomplish sales goals.
• Salary: $60-70k base salary + uncapped commissions. Expected total first year comp is ~$90-110k. This position also comes with employee-owned equity in the company initially valued ~$4500.
