Description

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC fabricating machine tools at customer sites throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This highly customer-facing role combines hands-on technical work with training, problem-solving, and customer support.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will serve as a technical expert and ambassador, helping customers maximize equipment performance while building strong professional relationships. This position offers extensive travel, advanced technical training, and exposure to industry-leading manufacturing technologies.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• Strong electronics, electrical, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Experience with digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, and hydraulics
• Strong customer service mindset and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments
• Technically savvy with software and file management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, curious, and motivated professional with strong problem-solving abilities

Requirements
• Travel extensively to customer locations throughout North America
• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair CNC fabricating machine tools
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues
• Document machine conditions, service activities, and improvement recommendations
• Train customers on machine operation and maintenance procedures
• Provide technical support to maximize machine uptime and productivity
• Maintain professional customer relationships and represent the company positively in the field
• Support machine installations, upgrades, and repair projects
• Follow company procedures and safety standards while working independently at customer sites

Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
• Military technical experience
• CNC machine tool maintenance or repair experience
• Field service experience supporting industrial equipment
• Experience with automation, controls, PLCs, or manufacturing equipment
• Previous customer-facing technical support experience
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication equipment
