Job Title: Beveler
Reports to: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Exempt Non-Exempt
Location: Florence Hamilton Wheeler Gratiot Republic Ladson Goose Creek Yonges Island
Job Summary:
- ESSE Perform all kinds of beveling, welding, layout, and cutting using gas, sector track torches, hand grinders and electric cutting / welding equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
- Minimum of three years of welding or relevant experience preferred.
- Must have attention and care to prevent injury to others when performing work.
- Must pass math test.
- Ability to work in a team environment successfully.
- Must perform tasks safely as instructed orally and in written format.
- Ability to read and speak English.
- Must have knowledge of the metric system.
- Ability to maneuver up to 200 lbs. independently.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Must be able to pass forklift training and maintain current company forklift license.
- Ability to read measuring tapes and calipers.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
- Plans details of working Procedure and tools and material requirements.
- Bevels parts by cutting and grinding various metals. Repairs parts by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
- Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.
- Builds up worn or defective surfaces.
- Layout per customer drawings.
- Uses burning equipment to cut material to size and shape.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Exposure is frequent to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles - eye protection is required, and fumes, machine vibration, and noisy conditions, high temperatures, and occasional to a restricted space work area. All Keel locations are tobacco free where appropriate.
